Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister (PM) and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, emphasized that hunger is an inhumane reality in the Gaza Strip.
In a statement posted on platform “X” on Monday, Safadi said the world bears a moral and legal responsibility to end this horrific catastrophe, stressing that starving 2.3 million Palestinians is a crime that must be stopped immediately.
He stated that saving Gaza's residents from death due to hunger, dehydration, and lack of medical care should be a top priority that mobilizes the entire international community.
Safadi also called for the immediate lifting of the Israeli blockade on Gaza.
He stressed the importance of promptly delivering humanitarian aid and allowing UN agencies to distribute it.
Jordanian PM further underlined the necessity of reaching a prisoner exchange agreement and ending the aggression without delay.
“It is imperative that Israel allows UN agencies to distribute the aid,” Safadi asserted.
